You can have an esthetic porcelain crown designed, milled, and permanently attached in just one visit. Imagine, you won’t have to wear a temporary, worry about that temporary falling off, and you also won’t have to come in for a follow-up visit.
CEREC combines 3D imaging and computer-aided design with computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM). If you need a porcelain crown, Dr. Strommer will take a 3D image of your tooth, then use special software to design digital plans for your crown, inlay, or onlay. The design will be interpreted by our CEREC milling machine. We’ll choose a custom-shaded CEREC Block that matches your original tooth structure. CEREC Blocks are backed by 20 years of testing; they’re the basis for beautiful, durable CEREC restorations. Our CEREC milling unit will fabricate your crown in our office. We don’t have to send anything out to a lab.
Once the crown, inlay, or onlay is ready, Dr. Strommer will place it on your tooth, and you’ll leave our office with a strong, healthy restoration.
